Pinngortitaleriffik, Greenland Institute of Natural Resources

Pinngortitaleriffik is the Government of Greenland’s natural resources research centre.
The purpose of the institute is to acquire knowledge of living resources in and around Greenland. This knowledge is used mainly as the institute's basis for advising the Government of Greenland, which wishes to ensure sustainable exploitation of the country’s natural resources as well as of the environment, and biodiversity.

The centre’s board is appointed by the Government of Greenland as well as by organisations of interested parties selected by the Home Rule.
